A fault-code scan starts from CZK 400
The published price list starts diagnostics and fault-code reading at CZK 400. This is a starting price for the initial check, not a fixed charge for finding and repairing every fault. We are not VAT-registered, so VAT is not added.
Code reading and finding the cause are different
Reading fault memory shows which faults a control unit has recorded. A code can guide the next checks, but does not always identify a failed part. For example, a sensor-related code may require investigation of the sensor, its wiring or the conditions it is measuring. Replacing the named component without checking may leave the cause unresolved.
Agree what the first check includes
Before the appointment, describe the symptoms and ask what the initial price covers. The first step may include reading stored information, explaining the finding and recommending further checks. Vehicle diagnostics can extend beyond that first step when measurements or other investigation are needed.
What can require more investigation?
An intermittent fault, warning that returns, poor starting, loss of power or a problem that appears only under certain conditions can take longer to trace. Live data, electrical or mechanical checks may be relevant. Agree the investigation scope and how additional work will be priced before it continues. The final repair quote follows the findings.
What to send before booking
Include the model, year, engine if known and the exact warning or symptom. Say when it happens and mention recent repairs. Email an existing dashboard photo or diagnostic report to autoservice1@seznam.cz; the form does not accept attachments. For a red warning, severe running problem, unsafe braking or significant leak, stop safely and call for advice rather than wait for an email.
